The only thing in Hollywood more interesting than Owen Wilson's career may be Owen Wilson's nose. It's a wonder to behold: a twisting, swollen ski slope; a special effect that seems to expand and change angles with the light. He broke it first in ninth grade, then again playing football at the University of Texas. Has he considered having it fixed? "I get bombarded with those questions," he says. "I must look like a freak, but if I were to change it I would get so much grief from my brothers."

Sneak Preview - Don't come knocking

The most interesting fact about this movie can be found on www.imdb.com:
The picture of Sky's mother is a photography of Sarah Polley's own mother, Diane Polley. Diane, who died in 1990, was a huge fan of Sam Shepherd. Shepherd plays the father of Sarah's character in the film. That about tells it. This is the most boring and foreseenable slimiest happyend movie I have ever seen in my whole life. Fat Albert is a piece of art compared to this movie.

a little rain could not stop us from having a great time BBQing at Eugenios. The evening ended in good old Sachsenhausen later on. Chicken, Sausages, a smoking mouth, a snail and happy british girlz ... (plus lots more)

Sneak Preview - The skeleton key

altough I did not see the first 5 minutes of the movie, everything was clear in the end. Another horror movie in the long history of sneak horror movies in Turmpalast. Although this time it was more suspense than bloody. The story was quite cool in the end as it was not what I thought it would be ... If you are not scared of ghosts, worth seeing. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

not much happening this week. Reading the new Harry Potter book instead of going to the gym. (looks like I will have to blame my weight on reading now ...)

Sneak Preview - 11:14

11:14 was the closing film of the Fantasy Film Fest in 2003 in Stuttgart - and after 2 years it finally hits the theatres in Europe. One of those movies where you don't know how all the little storylines connect until the very end of the movie. Lots of small and big names (Patrick Swayze, Rachel Lee Cook, Hillary Swank, ...) in funny and sometimes disturbing scenes. All in all a nice sneak preview night in the non-air-conditioned Turmpalast.


Also if you want to see what became of little Elliott (from E.T.) look for the guy in the opening scene ...

Sunday night - cinema night!

Another sunday night spent at the cinema - screen 5 this time, no air conditioning. A reallllly funny romantic comedy with all the cheesy and cliche moments that you would expect ... Two thumbs up!!!!

For only €2.50 entry this place is simply CLASS. Harry Potter books, pimp sunglasses and a clean pool made this day a very chilly summer day.

Ironman Frankfurt 2005

Helen returned from Ozzieland with a nice gleam and full of Energy to watch the Ironman competition in Frankfurt. The two gentlemen on the picture just happened to be checking out every ass attached to some participant running by.

An Evening in Frankfurt

An average evening in Frankfurt started with a Portikus exhibition opening and ended in Sachsenhausen at Die Weinbar (where everybody knows your name). Great wine!!!

Sneak Preview - The Upside Of Anger

This Monday we saw The Upside Of Anger at the Sneak Preview. A very cool and slow and emotional and funny and chilly movie about a lot of broken people who live next to and with each other. The ending was a bit strange, but all-in-all a very enjoyable movie. Plus Kevin Costner is simply great in this movie.

Again it is time for some marketing activities. The Sneak Preview in Turmpalast shows a 'surprise' movie every Monday at 21:00 - it is a movie that is not running yet - but you don't know which one ...
On the brighter side it only costs 4 Euros!!! If you want to join in on the fun, let me know...

Goodbye Rahul!

Blanca returned from her 4-week vacation with a great tan just in time to celebrate with Rahul, who is leaving Frankfurt for London. Goodbye, Rahul - enjoy London!

(on a more personal note: this tibetian place in Sachsenhausen offers an all-you-can-eat-sushi-buffet for 14.50 every wednesday and thursday.)

A record number of people showed up at Alba's to be fed by our Indian friends. Preeti, Paritosh and Rahul provided a feast to everyone's liking.

Hey Hey Hey!

With the help of Paritosh the HP-in-motion team first qualified for the afternoon hope race and later achieved a third ranking in the hope race in the 2005 Dragonboat Championship in Frankfurt - what a fun day!!!

For the remake of this movie the marketing department created T-Shirts with I watched Paris die written on them. I would like to buy the I left the cinema before Paris died version. But I guess there is no such thing.
